2025 Household Hazardous Waste

Household Hazardous Waste Program

Rid your home of potential hazards and protect the environment.

Dispose of these materials FREE of charge.

Garbage

Garbage & Recycling must be placed at the curb the night before.

Garbage service is conducted on Wednesdays. No more than three 32 gallon cans per household for garbage each week.

  • GRASS CLIPPINGS & GARDEN DEBRIS are regular garbage.
  • WOOD is regular garbage and must be prepared no longer than 4 feet long, no wider than 4 inches, tied and bundled, remove nails, no more than 3 bundles per pickup, each bundle cannot weigh more than 75lbs.
  • CARPET is regular garbage, must be rolled and tied, no more than 3 rolls per pick up, each roll cannot weigh more than 75lbs., and each roll cannot be longer than 4 feet long.
  • FURNITURE is regular garbage, 2 pieces per pick up. Pull-out sofa beds must have the metal bed frame removed and call for a metal pick up.

Recycling 

Recycling service is conducted on Thursdays. No more than three 32 gallon cans per household for garbage each week.

  • Glass, tin, plastic, newspapers, cardboard and mixed paper all in one can. 
  • Do not tie or bundle. All items must be rinsed clean – NO EXCEPTIONS. 
  • NO containers from hazardous materials. NO recycling materials can be placed in plastic bags.

LEAF PICK UP

Leaves must be placed loose at the curb the Sunday scheduled section leaf pick up begins.

RESIDENTS may dispose of LEAVES ONLY in Leaf Bin located at Town Hall


METAL & ELECTRONIC PICK UP

Metal & Electronic pick up is conducted every 2nd and 4th Wednesday of the month.

Please call (609) 693-3302 ext. 238 to schedule a pick up.

  • Payment stickers are required for propane tanks, refrigerators, freezers, and air conditioners.
  • Propane Tanks: $5.00/ tank
  • Refrigerators, Freezers, and Air Conditioners: $10/ item 

BRUSH (BRANCH) PICK UP


CURBSIDE PICK UP ONLY

Brush (Branch) pick up is conducted every 1st and 3rd Thursday of the month.

  • Brush must be cut in 4ft. sections, 4” diameter and placed at the curb. 
  • Do not tie and bundle.

AUTOMOBILE & MARINE BATTERIES

  • Automobile and Marine Batteries are to be placed loose at curbside after pick up is scheduled.
