All firearms applications for residents of Ocean Township are processed through the Police Department’s Detective Bureau.  The application process for new Firearms Identification Cards, duplicate Firearms Identification Cards (lost/stolen, mutilated, change of address, change of sex or change of name) and Permits to Purchase a Handgun are completed electronically through the online Firearms Reporting System (FARS).
