House Watch Program
Going on vacation?  Leaving town for business?  Whatever the reason, being away from your home for any length of time can lead to security concerns.  The Ocean Township Police Department House Watch program is designed to provide you with peace of mind by placing your address on an increased patrol list.  Officers in your area will be instructed to conduct an exterior check of your residence daily.  Our officers will send you an email daily to let you know your residence was checked and everything is okay. .

NJ Register Ready
NJ Register Ready has been established to collect information emergency responders will need to help locate and evacuate people with Access and Functional Needs during an emergency, when a family, caregiver or are unable to help them.

Junior Police Academy
The Ocean Township Junior Police Academy is not a “boot camp” for troubled youth,
but a camp designed to operate like an actual police academy.


Project Medicine Drop

Project Medicine Drop is an initiative involving the installation of "prescription drug drop boxes"
at participating New Jersey police departments.


Safe Exchange Zones
The “Safe Exchange Zone” program is intended to address the safety concerns brought about with on‐line purchases from websites such as Craigslist, eBay, Facebook groups, and classified ads, etc. and to provide a safe location for families with visitation rights to make the custodial exchange.

Nixle is a Community Information Service dedicated to helping you stay connected to the information that matters most to you, depending on your physical location.


Free Little Library
The Free Little Free Library is a wooden, birdhouse like home for books people can take and restock for free located at the police department.

Project Lifeline OTPD
Project “LIFE LINE” is a program initiated by the Ocean Township Police Department for the many Senior Citizens and physically disabled residents of Ocean Township who live alone. Police Department personnel check in with the residents daily via telephone and physical contact if required. It is a FREE service to all qualified residents.

Police Residential Lockbox Program
The Ocean Township Police Department’s residential lock box program is designed to expedite access to senior adults in their own homes during medical or other emergencies. The lockbox program also reduces the likelihood of property damaged caused by forced entry in response to an emergency call. The program is FREE to all eligible residents.
