Handicap Placards

There are two different types of Handicapped Placards:
A Temporary Placard, which is valid for 6 months and can be obtained through the Records Bureau, and a Permanent Placard/License Plate, which is valid for 3 years and must be obtained through the New Jersey Motor Vehicle Commission.

Applications for both types of placards can be downloaded by clicking on the appropriate link below on this page.

Additional information, including more thorough instructions on how to complete the applications, can be found on the New Jersey Motor Vehicle Commission's website.

A more thorough explanation of Handicapped Parking privileges, including where you can and can not park, can be found in the New Jersey Human Service's Guide to Handicapped Parking.
