We have 21 locations serving the demands of the growing population of the Ocean County communities. Our headquarters in downtown Toms River has undergone an expansion doubling the size of the library. We recently opened a reading center in the Whiting section of Manchester and plans are underway to expand the Brick branch.
We have an excellent reputation with the citizens and government of Ocean County, also among public libraries in the State and in the Nation. The Ocean County Library has won many awards, and recently received recognition nationally. The Ocean County Library has been recognized for two prestigious library awards: The John Cotton Dana award for Library Public Relations and the National Medal awarded by the Institute of Museums and Library Sciences, recognizing us as one of the best libraries in the country in 2007.
We are constantly seeking ways to improve the way we do our work and improve the quality of life for our community. We invite you to become part of The Ocean County Library and explore all that we have to offer!
